Shipping policy

We offer free collection from Kinsale Honey House here in Kinsale, during business hours and weekends. Select pick up/collection at checkout and please text or email in advance to arrange time.

Please ensure that the correct delivery address is entered and a contact mobile telephone number is provided

Delivery charges are at a fixed rate of €12.50 for most products. [The standard delivery rate may vary depending on size and weight of goods.] This charge will be added at checkout.

We dispatch orders within 1-3 working days excluding weekends and holidays and subject to items being in stock. You will receive an email confirming your order once we have received it, and another notification will be sent when your order has been shipped. Deliveries usually takes 2 to 5 working days within the Republic of Ireland. We use An Post for small order and Fastway for larger orders, we do not and will not take responsibility for any delays with deliveries. If your order has not reached you within 7 working days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please let us know. 

Shipping Notice for Queen Bees & Nucs

Please note:

Queen bees and nucs are live organisms and will only be shipped when they are ready and conditions are safe for transport. This is to ensure their health, viability, and your success as a beekeeper.

  •  Shipping is not next-day or guaranteed on a fixed date.
  • You will receive a dispatch notification via email/SMS once your order is scheduled to be ship.
  • Orders may take several days to weeks depending on In-season, weather, colony development, and availability.

We appreciate your patience — quality and colony health come first.

As Off  01/08/2025 we will no longer be use AN POST to ship Queens and Nucs. We will be now using UPS as it is a faster delivery system, But unfortunately the Shipping Rate of €15 will need to match this Service. 

Out of stock items

In the unlikely event that an item that you have ordered is out of stock we will contact you to offer you one of the following options:-

  • A full refund
  • An offer of substituting with a similar product
  • The item will be put on backorder and forwarded to you as soon as it is back in stock.

Returns Policy

You may return a product if you are not completely satisfied with it for a full refund or exchange once the following conditions are met:-

Product is returned within 14 days of original order.

Product is in the same condition which it was received and in its original packaging and is accompanied by a receipt.

Products may only be returned to us with our prior agreement, at your expense, and according to our directions. Any products returned in contravention of this Section will not be the subject of any refunds or replacements and you will continue to be liable for payment of the price of such products.

Provided the item is unused, unopen and in its original condition. Once we receive the returned item you will be refunded the full cost, less the shipping cost. Should your order have arrived damaged in any way, please email us whitin 48 hours to Seadni@gmail.com with a photo and your order number of the damaged item and we will remedy as soon as possible.

 

Ownership of Goods

All goods remain the property of Kinsale Honey House until paid for in full. The goods will not be dispatched until payment has been cleared by the Credit Card Company and/or Bank.

Website Errors

Product images are for illustrative purposes only and may differ from the actual product. In the event that a product is mistakenly listed at an incorrect price we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price.

Guarantee

If your order arrives damaged due to shipping we will replace it subject to our returns policy.

All Guarantee issues will be handled by Kinsale Honey House only and not the original manufacturer unless expressly stated by the original manufacturer.

The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping goods to us under the guarantee.

The guarantee is in place to cover any problems with the equipment that arise through normal use. It will not cover any problems that are caused by improper maintenance or repairs not made by Kinsale Honey House, unauthorized modifications, or as a result of removal, improper use, abnormal operation by the buyer, or any other misuse or mistreatment of goods. Nothing under these terms and conditions affects your statutory rights.
